New Delhi, May 25 (KNN) The Government of India has restricted the import policy of bio-fuels for all purposes, said Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).

In a notification DGFT said “Import policy of bio-fuels is restricted for all purposes and its import will require import license from DGFT.”

Policy condition providing for free import of bio-fuels by actual users is deleted, it added.

Bio-fuels include ethyl alcohol and other spirits, petroleum oil and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, biodiesel and mixtures.
