PM Modi to inaugurate Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 tomorrow in New Delhi

New Delhi, May 26 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two day Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 on May 27 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

He will interact with kisan drone pilots and startups in the drone exhibition centre, and witness open-air drone demonstrations.

Over 1600 delegates comprising government officials, foreign diplomats, armed forces, central armed police forces, PSUs, private companies and drone startups etc will participate in the Mahotsav.

More than 70 exhibitors will display various use cases of drones at the exhibition.

The event will also witness a virtual award of drone pilot certificates, product launches, panel discussions, flying demonstrations, display of a Made in India Drone Taxi prototype, among others.

In September 2021 PLI scheme for the drone industry was notified with a total incentive is Rs 120 crore spread over three financial years, which is nearly double the combined turnover of all domestic drone manufacturers in FY 2020-21.
