StartUps for Railway initiative receives 297 proposals

New Delhi, Aug 13 (KNN) The Railway Ministry has received 297 proposals to solve 11 problems under the StartUps for Railway initiative.

This was informed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways in a tweet on Friday. 

He wrote, “Railway partners with startups. 297 proposals received to solve 11 problems."

The broken rail detection system received the maximum proposal which was 43 and four proposals was the least received by Headway Improvement System for suburban section interoperable with Indian Railways National ATP system.

Earlier at the launch of the initiative, the Railway Minister said that through this platform startups will get a good opportunity to connect with Railways. 

Out of over 100 problem statements received from different divisions, field offices/zones of Railways, 11 problem statements like rail fracture, headway reduction etc. have been taken up for phase 1 of this program. 

These were presented before the startups to find innovative solutions. (KNN Bureau)
