Ludhiana, Nov 24 (KNN) In a bid to develop high quality steel at competitive price, Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) will work with Ludhiana Steel Re-Roller Mills Association.

The statement came after the CICU Steel Committee conducted a meeting with Ludhiana Steel Re-Roller Mills Association President Inderjit Singh. The meeting aimed at adding value to each other's business like improving quality, new productivity, timely delivery etc.

''Engineering and the Auto industry consume different types of materials which are supplied by large companies from outside of the Punjab, whereas some materials are imported as well. Both the association will work to develop high quality steel at competitive prices,'' S Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU.

The meeting also saw the discussion over the scrap rate which is very high and keeps on fluctuating and stable in Mandi Gobindgarh, which leads to confusion.

''Payment dispute among members of both associations will be resolved with the help of senior members,'' the statement concluded.
