BBIA, Jammu urge Govt to defer decision for eviction of unutilized land in Indusial Estates

Jammu, 30 Nov (KNN) Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) called for an urgent meeting in view of the news “Govt. sets into motion process for retrieval of unutilized land in all Indusial Estates”.

The meeting was headed by Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Tarun Singla, Sr. Vice President, Ajay Langer Vice President, Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Rajesh Jain Secretary and Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA.

Members present in the meeting have shown apprehension in respect of Govt. Order 233-Ind of 2021 dated 22-11-2021 issued by the Industries & Commerce Department for the Nomination of General Manager, JKSIDCO, Jammu and Kashmir Division as Member for Eviction Process with regard to cancellation of lease deed and eviction of allottees in Industrial Estates Managed by J&K SIDCO, said their media release.

Mahajan spoke about the hundreds of cases for the renewal of Provisional Registration of Industrial Units, and the effective steps taken by Ranjan Prakash Thakur (IRTS) Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Jammu in respect of construction of Factory Building, Installation of Machinery.

In some cases, orders were placed for the Machinery, awaiting the approval of the Apex Committee pending since long.

He also pointed out that there’s numbers of Industrial Units having Permanent Registration with Industries Department closed since last few years due to unforeseen circumstances like non availability of Supply Orders from Govt, Financial Constrains, Death of the Promoters etc.

“It is unjustified to Cancel the Lease Deeds of such closed units which will be amount to unnecessary Litigation as no such Clause incorporated in the Lease Deeds duly executed in the Court of Law,” added Mahajan.

The member have urged Ranjan Prakash Thakur (IRTS) Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Jammu to defer the decision taken to start the eviction process till the final decision taken in the next Apex Committee Meeting on the basis of report to be submitted by the Sub Committee as per Govt. Order No. 214-IND of 2021.

To further issue necessary directions to Managing Director J&K SIDCO in this regard with a request exempt the closed Units having Permanent Registration with the Industries Department from the preview of Eviction Process on the basis of Point No. 18.2 of Govt. Order NO. 129-IND of 2017 dated 07-06-2017.
