Ranchi, July 19 (KNN) Bokaro will be developed as a production center for several products. Industries like automobiles, general engineering goods, iron and steel products for domestic use have a high possibility of scope. Ravi Kumar, Secretary, Department of Industries held a detailed discussion on the progressive policies and initiatives of the government.

Ravi Kumar held a discussion at the district administrative building auditorium where he invited proposals to set up a cluster of micro and small industries.

 “Out of the total fund, 90 percent will be arranged by the Government to establish such industries for all selected proposals to set up micro and small scale industries. As same, 10 percent expenditure will be managed by the entrepreneurs," he added.

“With an aim to accelerate and develop the MSMEs, the Central Government is establishing technology centers across the country.  aiming to achieve the goal of developing the entire group of micro, small and medium enterprises,” said Kumar.

Bokaro has a suitable geographical location to set up the industries. It is suitable for industries like, aromatic products, including automobile and general engineering. While, for the secondary products like Iron and Steel factories for domestic use, he added.

Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) approved the 21 new investment proposals to set up units in Bokaro a few months back. Nearby 21 new projects will come at Balidih Industrial Area in the district with an investment of Rupees 70 crores.

To set up a mega food park at Chandankyari in Bokaro, JIADA has approved the investment proposal and also approved land for the setup, said an official.

With an investment of Rs 222 crore for the food park, Triveni Group a real estate company is on move to set up a mega food park. Food Park will have several facilities like multi-chamber cold storage, dry warehouse, vegetable dehydration line, modern quality control, and testing laboratory and other processing facilities for fruits and vegetables.

To minimize the loss of post-harvest of the agricultural produce, this project will create a modern infrastructure and will also give a strong boost to the growth of the food processing sector in Jharkhand, said the official.

    Very welcome initiative. Govt should concentrate on providing sustainable infrastructure and ecosystem and build a culture of conscious growth.
