Company Secretaries to be trained to aid start-ups

Ludhiana, May 23 (KNN) The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has formed a task force on startups and is conducting joint certificate programme to equip its members with specific knowledge of relevant legal provisions required to set up a startup, said President ICSI CS Devendra V Deshpande at a startup event in Ludhiana.

The Ludhiana chapter of Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of ICSI hosted Punjab State conference on startups last week.

K. A. P. Sinha, Principal Secretary, Finance, Govt of Punjab inaugurated the event as chief guest on the occasion.

Appreciating the theme he said that it is very apt as there is expansion of business and increased number of start-ups.

Sinha also assured his full support to the institute for allocation of land to the Ludhiana chapter.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU, Ludhiana shared his view on start-up from the industrial perspective and emphasised on partnership between the professional institutions and industries for better economic growth of the country.  (KNN Bureau)
