J&K MSMEs hail centre's move to amend land laws

Jammu, Oct 28 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) hailed the government's move to amend the land laws in Union Territory (UT) of J&K for setting up of industrial units  by outsiders.

In this regard, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) Jammu held a meeting where the members conveyed their heartiest thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Governor Manoj Sinha for bringing a ray of hope for industrialization in J&K by the prospective entrepreneurs from outside of the state which will open doors for huge investment in industrial sector, heath & medical education, tourism industry, real estate and other sector.

The industry body in an official statement also drew their attention towards fiscal incentives to existing units.

Later, BBIA also requested Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to notify the proposed new industrial policy 2020 with the inclusion Road Freight Reimbursement on the import of Raw Materials from outside the State & Export of Finished Goods to other part of Country & Exports, turnover incentives to micro & small scale units selling their goods within the State of UT of J&K, budgetary support of 2 per cent turnover on interstate sale to all the units and state CGST/SGST reimbursement benefits to new units and units under expansion.
