Kolkata, Dec 2 (KNN) More than 300 small and medium sized companies and traders from West Bengal will participate in the world largest paper show called Paperex2019 to be held in the national capital from December 6th to 9th.

Apart from them, few big listed companies like ITC Paper, Emami Paper, West Coast Paper, BILT are also participating in the show along with 29 mills.

There are 32 running mills in West Bengal producing close to 21 lakhs ton paper per annum.

Paper exports in last three years has grown from 660,000 tons to 15,00,000 ton from India. The Indian paper industry is expected to grow at the rate of 12% per annum for next 5 years.

Reportedly, J P Narain, VP, Indian Paper & Manufacturers Association and CEO of Century Paper said, that the paper consumption is projected to increase to 24 million tons in 2024-25 from 15 million ton currently.
