MSME-DI in Srinagar begins two weeks entrepreneurship program

Srinagar, Feb 25 (KNN) Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute here has begun the two weeks entrepreneurship programme for participants who have opted for the entrepreneurship course.

The participants from different educational backgrounds and from different districts of valley will be participating in the programme organised by MSME, DI under the aegis of Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

''During the course, participants will be provided with detailed information about the schemes available with the Ministry of MSME, DIC, KVIB and JKEDI besides providing insight about business management,'' said Assistant Director, in charge MSME Saheel Alaqband.

Alaqband also said that the aim is to produce professional entrepreneurs irrespective of the investment involved in setting up the enterprises so that the chances of failures are minimized to a large extent.

In order to make the program more practical in nature, involvement of participants in business activities, group presentations and Industrial visits will also be the part of two weeks Entrepreneurship program.

''This year approximately 600 participants are being trained or have completed training in different courses across Kashmir region,'' said Project Director MSME TDC Mir Altaf Ahmad.
