MSMEs appeal to Jammu IG Police for reopening of sealed units

Jammu, Nov 26 (KNN) Miffed over the lethargic and unprofessional attitude of Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Bari Brahmana, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) here have made an appeal to Mukesh Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu to re-open sealed units.

In a meeting on Wednesday, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) accused SDPO, Bari Brahmana of disobeying court order by not allowing the sealed factory to be opened.

''Despite the court's direction to open the sealed factory in Bari Brahmana, the SDPO did not allow the factory to be opened,'' the association said in a statement.

Later, in the meeting, members also hailed the financial relief granted by Union Territory (UT) administration which includes the adjustment of 50 per cent fixed charges of electricity bills issued for the month of October 2020 by the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation.

During the course of discussions the members present in the meeting also appreciated the working of the Industries & Commerce Department under the able guidance of Governor Manoj Sinha, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce Department and Anoo Malhotra, KAS, Director of Industries & Commerce Jammu.

''We are hopeful for the rapid industrialization of Jammu & Kashmir in near future enabling the local youths to start their career in the industrial Sector,'' it added.

Members also requested the Mahajan to take up the matter with the Lt. Governor for the free hold rights to the industrial units working in the notified industrial estates of J&K SIDCO & SICOP.
