Pharma MSMEs meet CGST Commissioner in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 26 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in pharmaceutical manufacturing here highlighted the various issues related to the industrial sector of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) to the officials concerned.

During an interactive session on Thursday which was organized by JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association, its president Satish Kaul apprised the CGST Commissioner of various issues related to the industrial sector of J&K which also includes the Incentives Package 2021 announced by centre in which the existing units and units under substantial expansion has not been provided the benefit of reimbursement of Gross GST and other fiscal incentives.

He requested the Commissioner to take up the matter with concerned departments for the grant of fiscal incentives at par with the new units to avoid unhealthy competition between the new units and old units.

Lalit Mahajan, Chairman, Federation of Industries Jammu, (FoIJ) while welcoming the chief guest, appreciated the working of the CGST Department, Jammu under the able guidance of C L Dogra, Additional Commissioner, CGST Jammu and requested for the issuance of sanction order of IGST/CGST awaiting the release of funds by DPIIT, enabling the unit holders to file their claims of reimbursement with the state tax department.

He further requested to resolve the issues of the industrial sector by the department at their level before issuing the show cause notices to avoid the Litigation.

Hir Bhagat Negi, Commissioner (CGST) and Mahesh Kumar Rustogi, Commissioner (Audit), CGST, Jammu assured them to resolve their issues on a priority basis.

The other members who also presented during the interactive session were Ajit Bawa, President, Kathua Industrial Association, Deepak Dhawan, President, Birpur Industrial Association, Arjun Malhotra, General Secretary, Samba Industries Association J S Manocha General Secretary and Anil Gupta Executive Member of JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association along with S K Bansal, Rahul Bansal and other senior members of industries fraternity.
