Pollution Control Board seals three textile units in Haryana for use of Gensets

New Delhi, 6 Dec (KNN) On Sunday, three textile units were sealed by the Haryana Pollution Control Board for using Diesel Gensets (DG) and boilers, which are banned by the body to curb pollution.

As per a TOI news report, the textile units were operating without permission using the banned machineries.

However, the interruption in power supply and the ban of DG sets has only landed the textile exporters into conundrum which is whether to complete the export orders or comply with the rules.

Although apparels as a segment has performed well in the month of November, 2021, as per the preliminary trade data released by the Ministry of Commerce last week, it is important to note that the exports growth slowed faster than imports.

Exports growth fell to 26.49 per cent in November from 43.05 per cent in the previous month.

Following the situation textile units are in Delhi NCR, the production and overall exports will face its impact inevitably.
