Skilled Youth Startup Scheme reaches to 1700 beneficiaries in Sikkim

Gangtok, Dec 1 (KNN) Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang said that over 1700 citizens across the state have benefited from the Skilled Youth Startup Scheme which has generated employment opportunities.

He said this while addressing the virtual inauguration of infrastructures of the State Bank of Sikkim (SBS) in Gangtok on Wednesday.

CM Tamang inaugurated a new SBS building in Tadong and Bank branches in Nandugaon (Namchi district) and Uttarey (Gyalshing district) in the presence of Cabinet Ministers, Area MLAs, MP Lok Sabha, representatives from SBS and Sikkim Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (SEED) Cell etc.

Delivering his speech, he said people of Sikkim need to trust and promote the Bank as is a native Bank which needs to be taken to other states.

He assured that his administration would make maximum efforts for the employment of Youth in the State.

Three entrepreneurs under the SYSS scheme were felicitated with Letters of Appreciation for their success under SYSS scheme.

Six best entrepreneurs from each district were also handed sanction letters/cheques by the Chief Guest.  (KNN Bureau)
