Centre approves textile park in Navsari, Gujarat

Navsari, Mar 25 (KNN) The union government on Friday gave its final approval for setting up a Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (MITRA) Park at Navsari in Gujarat.
The textile park will be set up at a total investment outlay of Rs 4,445 crore.
Industry players in Gujarat have welcomed the move as it will prove to be a major boost towards setting up an entire value chain of textile manufacturing in Gujarat.
“The state will benefit the most as it is already home to man-made fibre, technical textiles and readymade garments sectors,” an industry player said.
The textile park in Navsari will be one of the seven parks approved by the union government.
Centre has also announced the Production-Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme for the textiles industry. (KNN Bureau)
