Karnataka Industries dept clears investment proposals worth Rs 5, 298 cr

Bengaluru, Mar 20 (KNN) The Karnataka Industries and Commerce Department approves 78 investment proposals worth Rs 5,298.69 crore, according to a report in The Indian Express.
The projects were cleared at the 138th State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) meeting held under the chairmanship of Industry Minister Murugesh Nirani, an official statement said on Sunday.
As per reports, the state government is expecting to create over 14,000 new jobs through these projects.
In the meeting, SLSWCC approved 17 important large and medium size industrial projects with investments of more than Rs 50 crore. These projects are worth Rs 3,552.66 crore and are expected to generate job opportunities for 6,933 persons.
The committee also approved 59 new projects with investments of more than Rs 15 crore and less than Rs 50 crore. These projects worth Rs 1,542.88 crore would generate jobs for over 6,984 people in Karnataka, the statement said.
The state has also approved two projects of additional investment, which will result in an investment of Rs 203.15 crore. (KNN Bureau)
