Rajasthan Govt Decentralises Process To Fast-Track MSME & ODOP Approvals
Jaipur, Mar 2 (KNN) Rajasthan’s Industries Department has decentralised the approval process for the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme and MSME units to facilitate faster clearances and broader outreach.
Under the new system, General Managers of District Industries and Commerce Centres (DICCs) will directly scrutinise and approve applications. Earlier, proposals were routed through district-level task force committees.
Industries Commissioner Suresh Kumar Ola said, "With these committees now dissolved and the power transferred to DICC general managers, applications will no longer await periodic meetings, significantly reducing processing time and accelerating benefit disbursal," TOI reported.
The reform follows an announcement made during the general discussion on the State Budget 2026–27.
Rise in Applications After Digitisation
Ola noted, "Since Feb 1, 245 applications were received: 72 under ODOP, 77 under MSME Policy, and 96 under Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy-2024. This translated to an average of 9 applications per day, compared to fewer than 2 per day under the earlier offline system."
Financial Support for MSMEs
Eligible MSMEs can avail margin grants of up to Rs 20 lakh, technology and software subsidies up to Rs 5 lakh, reimbursement of up to Rs 3 lakh for quality certification and intellectual property rights, Rs 2 lakh support for marketing events, e-commerce fee reimbursement up to Rs 1 lakh annually for two years, and a one-time assistance of Rs 75,000 for cataloguing and website development.
