Rajasthan’s MSME Policy Aims 20,000 New Units With 10,000 Cr investment

Jaipur, Dec 7 (KNN) In a strategic move to bolster the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has introduced the Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024.

The policy launch is part of a broader initiative preceding the upcoming Rising Rajasthan global investment summit, scheduled to take place in Jaipur from December 9-11, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to inaugurate the event.

The state government has been proactively seeking investments through extensive roadshows conducted by Chief Minister Sharma, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, and Commerce Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore across India and internationally.

These efforts have reportedly yielded investment commitments exceeding Rs 25 trillion.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasised the policy's comprehensive approach, stating that it aims to create a globally competitive and locally relevant MSME ecosystem.

The policy is designed to provide a holistic support framework through a combination of fiscal and non-fiscal interventions, with the ultimate goal of making state MSMEs self-reliant and driving rapid, inclusive growth.

An official from the industries department elaborated on the policy's objectives, highlighting its focus on creating an enabling environment that empowers MSMEs to achieve higher levels of competence.

The policy has been crafted as a comprehensive, one-stop solution for state government incentives, addressing the multifaceted needs of the sector.

The ambitious policy targets the establishment of 20,000 new MSME units, with a projected cumulative investment of Rs 10,000 crore.

This initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for 100,000 individuals, significantly contributing to the state's economic development and job creation landscape.

As Rajasthan prepares to host the global investment summit, the MSME Policy 2024 stands as a testament to the state's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic resilience in the small and medium enterprise sector.
