Serentica Renewables To Develop 10 GW Green Energy Projects In Andhra Pradesh
New Delhi, Nov 11 (KNN) Serentica Renewables has unveiled ambitious plans to develop 10 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, contributing to the state's target of achieving 72 GW renewable capacity by 2030.
The initiative represents a significant step toward advancing India's national renewable energy objectives.
"Andhra Pradesh holds immense renewable energy potential, and our 10 GW commitment is a step toward unlocking it," said Serentica's Chairman Pratik Agarwal.
He explained, "This project will provide reliable, round-the-clock green power, supporting regional growth and India's energy security goals."
The comprehensive project will integrate solar, wind, and storage technologies to ensure continuous power supply.
CEO Akshay Hiranandani emphasised the company's technological approach, noting their strategy of combining multiple renewable sources to guarantee uninterrupted green power availability.
As part of its expansion strategy, Serentica aims to build a renewable portfolio of 17 GW by 2030, incorporating 5,000 MWh of storage capacity. The company projects that 4 GW of this capacity will be operational by 2025.
A strategic partnership with Greenko Group has secured 1,500 MWh of storage from upcoming projects in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with plans for an additional 3,500 MWh of battery storage.
Looking ahead, Serentica has set a target to deliver 50 billion units of renewable energy annually by 2030.
This initiative is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 47 million tonnes, establishing the company as a significant contributor to India's renewable energy landscape.
