ENA Economy 2016-07-27 08:42:28 <p><strong>Kolkata, July 27 (KNN)</strong> Aiming to enhance the procurement from SC/ ST entrepreneurs, the MSME- Development Institute, Kolkata, is organizing a State Level Vendor Development Programme (SLVDP) on August 3, 2016.</p> <p>SLVDP is being organized for SC/ST entrepreneurs in collaboration with Garden Reach Shipbuilders &amp; Engineers Ltd. (GRSE Ltd.) and Ministry of Defence, Government of India.</p> <p>The basic objective of the above SLVDP programme is to promote the SC/ST Entrepreneurs as the vendors of GRSE Ltd and highlight the Public Procurement Policy, 2012.</p> <p>The programme aims to explore indigenous sources for imported items presently procured by GRSE Ltd and to highlight the Procurement Policy and Vendor Registration Procedure of GRSE Ltd.</p> <p>The Vendor Development Programme is an attempt to build up a symbiotic relationship between the large (PSUs) and the micro &amp; small scale units so that both the sectors are mutually benefited.
