    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Jan 16 (KNN) &lt;/strong&gt;Towards up scaling the  industrial infrastructure for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the national capital, the Federation of Indian Micro and Small &amp;amp; Medium Enterprises (FISME) along with MSME Development Institute (MSME-DI) held a workshop under the theme Industrial Eco-system in Delhi.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;Speaking at the event, Ram Mohan Mishra, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME highlighted the need to have a more conducive ecosystem for MSMEs in Delhi considering the fact that Delhi helps produce Demonstration Effect.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;The entire country looks at cities like Delhi, if things go well in this part of the country, similar practices are likely to replicate elsewhere in the country.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Mishra further said that there is a need to move towards green economy and the green  resources available in the country in comparison to rest of the world is incomparable.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mishra said that the country is aiming towards doubling the farmers income, and micro, small and medium enterprises are crucial in realising that aim.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The meeting was attended by senior office bearers of important MSME Associations as well as by senior officers of both the central and state  Government.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Speaking at the event, Mohanjeet Singh, Principal Secretary and Commissioner (Industries), Government of NCT of Delhi acknowledged  that multiplicity of agencies continues to remain a bottleneck for the MSMEs and the government is committed to explore possibilities of simplification.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;With regard to ease of doing business, the Principal Secretary said that despite odds, the country is moving towards better ranks in ease of  doing business.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;There is a need to ensure that the schemes rolled out by the government reach the concerned stakeholders and  MSME-DI may conduct Pakhwadas to educate the MSME entrepreneurs of the schemes.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;FISME Secretary General, Anil Bhardwaj spoke of the challenges of running an MSME unit in the national capital and how FISME can play a constructive role in facilitating an MSME-Friendly ecosystem in the national capital region.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;During the roundtable discussion that followed , the participating MSME entrepreneurs and associations raised different concerns including handholding under Digital MSME scheme, public procurement, and also with regard to the labour laws.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The Federation of Indian Micro and Small &amp;amp; Medium Enterprises (FISME) is a national level MSME body comprising of a network of over 700 sectoral and geographical MSME associations from across the country. &lt;strong&gt;(KNN/DA)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
