ENA MSME 2018-03-26 06:07:42 <p><strong>New Delhi, Mar 26 (KNN) </strong>In a bid to encourage Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region of entrepreneurs belonging to the SC-ST community, NSIC under the MSME Ministry recently held SC-CT conclave in Rajkot.</p> <p>The daylong event aimed at facilitating a common platform for the different stakeholders including CPSEs, Industry Associations and State Government. The participants would deliberate upon steps to be taken to fulfill Public Procurement Policy mandate for SC-ST entrepreneurs.</p> <p>MSME Minister Giriraj Singh informed about the event in a tweet from his official twitter handle.</p> <p>Also the programme aims at coalescing efforts taken by all the stakeholders towards creating a supportive ecosystem for inclusive growth of SC-ST Entrepreneurs.</p> <p>During the course of the program an interactive session between entrepreneurs, industry associations and incubators took place to understand their expectations about NSSH programme while also on-boarding them to play a larger role.</p> <p>The event is being organised along the lines of the Public Procurement Policy, 2012 that mandated 4 per cent of total procurement of goods and services made by Central Ministries and CPSEs to be from Micro and Small Enterprises owned by SC &amp; ST entrepreneurs.</p> <p>National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) was launched by Prime Minister Modi with an aim to achieve the mandate under the Public Procurement Policy. <strong>(KNN/DA)</strong></p> 19406 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/msme/msme-ministry-holds-sc-st-hub-conclave-in-rajkot 2018-03-26 06:07:42 knnindia.co.in
