ENA State 2018-05-03 06:21:53 <p><strong>New Delhi, May 3 (KNN)</strong> In an attempt to stop the ongoing sealing of local shopping centres (LSCs) in Delhi, traders apex body CAIT has requested the Centre to look into this matter.</p> <p>In this regard, Confederation of Indian Traders (CAIT) has asked Centre to intervene to stop the sealing of local shopping centres carried by Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee.</p> <p>CAIT in a communication to Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri sought action against the unjustified and blanket order of the monitoring committee.</p> <p>The committee had ordered the local bodies to seal LSCs in violation of building plans.</p> <p>Over the matter, CAIT secretary-general Praveen Khandelwal said such an order was against the principle of natural justice and legal precedence.</p> <p>Traders have argued that DDA had effected various amendments in the master plan, which also covered LSCs, and these were pending before the SC.</p> <p>Delhis civic agencies started the drive in LSCs on December 22, and these establishments were sealed for using residential properties for commercial purposes.</p> 19736 http://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/stop-sealing-drive-dda-had-effected-various-amendments-in-the-master-plan-which-covers-shops-too-cait 2018-05-03 06:21:53 knnindia.co.in
