    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, May 10 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; To promote exports, Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia said the commerce ministry is working on several areas, including efficient logistics management, involving states, increasing international engagement, ways to increase value addition and pushing MSME sector.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;Commenting over the Indias future trade strategy, Teaotia said we are looking at increasing trade as a tool for economic growth and job creation.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;To mark the first anniversary of Centre for Regional Trade an interactive session was held on global and regional trade dynamics: Indias future trade strategy at India Habitat Centre in the national capital.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Speaking at the event, she said a first effort that we have made under Make in India was to identify the champions sectors for the country.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;In this direction, we would try to address what is it required exactly to make these champion sectors a truly champions.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Addressing issues related to finance, infrastructure and logistics, she said that the government will try to focus on these bottlenecks to support a particular sector.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Also, she said government is looking at each champion sector specifically and working with line ministries to address the issues related to regulation, infrastructural gaps, service standards and other bottlenecks related to education and training for the growth of these sectors.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The commerce ministry is working with different ministries to formulate separate plans for 12 services sector, including IT, tourism and logistics, with a view to boost growth in these segments,  said the Commerce Secretary.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;There is a plan that is being developed for each of these 12 sectors and committee has been set up under the chairman ship of cabinet secretary to review these plans and 5000 crore fund has been set up to identify what specifically is required for the growth of sector, she added during the briefing session.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The 12 sectors include IT &amp;amp; ITeS, Tourism and Hospitality, Medical Value Travel, Transport and Logistics, Accounting and Finance, Audio Visual, Legal, Communication, Construction and Related Engineering, Environmental, Financial and Education.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Other focus area is to make logistics management more efficient, she said.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Further to address the issues of manufacturers, agriculture, logistics and infrastructure a standing committee on trade and trade facilitation has been formed under the chairmanship of chief secretary to review the state expert policy.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Other areas include increasing value addition across champion areas, to create an enabling environment for MSMEs, international engagements, multilateralism, regionalism and bilateralism.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;We looking at comprehensive FTA that is more useful for the economy as a whole, she added.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Ram Upendra Das head and professor of Centre for Regional Trade (CRT) said that  with trade and global progress issues related to trade and global challenges are increasingly become more complex and thus to address these issues need is to groom human resources in trade sector, so that we have battery of experts on various trade and global economic issues. &lt;strong&gt;(KNN/YV)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
