New Delhi, June 13 (KNN) With a view to incentivize employers for generation of new employment under Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY), Government of India will now be paying the complete employer share of 12%. Earlier, only 8.33% of the employer shares were borne by the Government of India.

This scheme has a dual benefit, where, on the one hand, the employer is incentivized for increasing the employment base of workers in the establishment, and on the other hand, a large number of workers will find jobs in such establishments.

Also, the burden on the part of employers has further reduced as he need not remit even 3.67% of employer share as per earlier norms.

All new employees enrolled on or after 01.04.2016 and under wage ceiling of ₹ 15000 are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.

For new eligible employees to gain out of the scheme the last date to get registered through establishments is 31st March, 2019.

Government of India has advised to enroll all eligible employees under the scheme and avail benefits of PMRPY scheme on www.pmrpy.gov.in.

PMRPY has been in operation since August, 2016.
