ENA Sectors 2018-08-16 10:49:36 <p><strong>Noida, Aug 16 (KNN)</strong> In a step which would boost the local readymade garment (RMG) industry, Uttar Pradesh Government has plans to set up a raw materials hub for the sector in Gautam Budh Nagar.</p> <p>The hub would be set up under the states One District One Product (ODOP) scheme. The Gautam Budh Nagar districts garment industry has an annual turnover of Rs 14,000 crore.</p> <p>According to the district deputy commissioner of industries Anil Kumar as the district contributes 60-70 per cent UPs garment export, this ODOP scheme will give a new impetus to the industry.</p> <p><em>Gautam Buddh Nagar</em> is also known as the 'City of Apparel'. ... <em>Gautam Buddh Nagar</em> is an important industrial district of <em>Uttar Pradesh</em> that consists of large number of <em>readymade garment</em> factories.</p> <p>Aiming to promote traditional industries synonymous with various districts of the state, UP Government recently launched the One District One Product (ODOP) in Lucknow.</p> <p>Bank loans worth over Rs 10 billion were distributed to 4,095 SME entrepreneurs to expand their units. Apart from that, the President unveiled the ODOP helpline and ODOP website.
