    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Jan 9 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; Proposals of 27 companies that will be expanding its operations in Tamil Nadu have been approved, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswami said in the Assembly in his reply to Governors address.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;He said, These companies are expected to generate job opportunities for about 50,000 people.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;As the Tamil Nadu government gears for its Global Investors Meet this month, it has already cleared more than Rs.50,000 crore worth of investment proposals in the State.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;To improve the global competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state and attract foreign investments into the sector, the State government is in the processing creating a separate entity, the Minister said.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;He said that the State governments single window clearance system would provide all required approvals in 30 days time.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;He also said the State governments single window portal for MSMEs was ensuring time-bound processing of applications and issue of clearances by various departments.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;About 46 applications have been received by the government under the single window clearance scheme.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Out of which 28 are expected to be given approvals, while other proposals are being examined.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The approvals of MSME proposals would lead to generation of jobs for more than 15,000 people.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
