    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Sep 3 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; The growth of the eight core industries has witnessed a slow down to 2.1% for the month of July 2019. Its cumulative growth during April to July, 2019-20 was 3%, as per data released by Ministry of Commerce.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;The eight core industries include coal, crude oil, natural gas, refinery products, fertiliser, steel, cement and electricity.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;According to data, the Coal production declined by 1.4 per cent in July, 2019 over July, 2018. Its cumulative index increased by 1.8 per cent during April to July, 2019-20 over corresponding period of the previous year.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;However, steel production increased by 6.6 per cent in July, 2019 over July, 2018. Its cumulative index increased by 10.9 per cent during April to July, 2019-20 over the corresponding period of previous year.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;Fertilizers production increased by 1.5 per cent in July, 2019 over July, 2018. Its cumulative index declined by 0.4 per cent during April to July, 2019-20 over the corresponding period of previous year.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;As per the official data, electricity generation increased by 4.2 per cent in July, 2019 over July, 2018. Its cumulative index increased by 6.4 per cent during April to July, 2019-20 over the corresponding period of previous year.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
