ENA State 2019-10-03 10:48:39 <p><strong>Jaipur, Oct 3 (KNN)</strong> Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma announced ban on pan masala and flavoured supari in the state.</p> <p>The announcement came at an event held in Jaipur to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Wednesday.</p> <p>We have banned storage, distribution and sale of pan masala containing magnesium carbonate, nicotine, tobacco and mineral oil, and flavoured supari under Food Security Act, 2006, the state health minister said.</p> <p>All food inspectors have been asked to ensure compliance of the ban, the minister added.</p> <p>Production, storage, distribution and sale of these products will not be allowed in the state.</p> <p>With this, Rajasthan has become the third state after Maharashtra and Bihar to announce such a move, according to a release in Jaipur.</p> <p>In its first budget for the state, the Ashok Gehlot government had said it would form a policy to control sale of substandard material and be strict on sale of stolen material for a complete ban on pan masala and gutkha.</p> <p><iframe frameborder="no" scrolling="no" src="https://nativclick.com/test/3419.html" style="width:700px; height:250px;"></iframe></p> <p>---------------------</p> <p><iframe frameborder="0" height="500" id="mgiframe" src="//mg.mgid.com/mghtml/framehtml/c/k/n/knnindia.co.in.338951.html" width="100%"></iframe></p> 23784 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/rajasthan-govt-announces-ban-on-pan-masala-and-flavoured-supari 2019-10-03 10:48:39 knnindia.co.in
