New Delhi, Dec 10 (KNN) After recommendation from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to ease ban on construction in the national capital, the Supreme Court on Monday partially lifted the ban on construction in the Delhi NCR region limiting the activity to go on only from 6am to 6pm.

Construction would be permitted provided all the dust control norms, such as installing dust covers and spraying water, are followed. Night time ban continues.

CPCB said the air quality level is no longer severe and is now instead in the poor category.

The board was represented in court by Standing Counsel Vijay Panjwani. The board suggested that the ban could be re-imposed if the air quality levels deteriorate again for over 48 hours.
