    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, May 21 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Nitin Gadkari has written to Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal seeking postponement of mandatory hallmarking up to June 2022.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;Reportedly, Gadkari in the letter to Goyal said that he has received a representation from the All-India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt; They have sought relief in terms of postponement of order of implementation of mandatory hallmarking upto June 2022 , Gadkari added in the letter.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The MSME Minister also said that the Gems-Jewellery sector has raised an issue of lack of infrastructure for implementing mandatory hallmarking which may result in distress amongst the stakeholders.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;He further said that the council has also represented their suggestions which can be considered along with concerned authorities like BIS in the policy building process.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
