    <fulldesc>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Delhi, Jan 24 (KNN)&lt;/strong&gt; The MSMEs in Andhra Pradesh have been recognised for their  IoT based demonstration project which has been adopted in other 65 MSME units across the state. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;It is the leading state for implementation of Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency measures and is on the list of top ten states in the State Energy Efficiency Index-2020.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Conducting awareness programmes is also a part of its implementation. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Kerala have been appreciated by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for implementation of energy efficiency steps through standalone SDAs/exclusive organisations.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The list has states like Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu for effectively implementing energy efficienct activities.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The Director General of BEE, Abhay Bhakre has set a target to save 129 million tonne of oil equivalent (mtoe) across various sectors for the next decade. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;He announced this during a webinar  with all state designated agencies (SDAs) of governments including Andhra Pradesh. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;BEE will be encouraging other states to adopt the model from Andhra Pradesh and Kerala with regards to energy-efficient and energy conservation programmes, said Bhakre. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;A total energy savings of about Rs 40,945 crore has been yielded by the BEE. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;
