&lt;p&gt;Confidential data is being collected by these scam website posing to be official registration portals. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;One of the online scam website is &lt;a href=&quot;https://www.online-iec.org/update_iec&quot;&gt;https://www.online-iec.org/update_iec&lt;/a&gt;, and the phishing message said Dear IEC Holder, Reminder: Your IEC is deactivated due to not updating prior to 01 Feb, 2022. To reactivate, apply here &lt;a href=&quot;https://online-iec.org&quot;&gt;https://online-iec.org&lt;/a&gt;, ignore if done.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;The Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) is a key business identification number which is mandatory for Exports or Imports, and no person shall make any import or export except under an IEC Number granted by the DGFT. &lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Hence, for exporters an IEC is imperative and significant for their business. &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;(KNN Bureau)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
