ENA State 2022-03-24 09:38:58 <p><strong>Ludhiana, Mar 24 (KNN)</strong> The Chamber of Industrial &amp; Commercial Undertakings (CICU) has appealed the newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann to set a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) so that industries have clarity while working with government departments.</p> <p>Industries are harassed by the government departments as the procedure is not clear which is posing to be one of the biggest problems, said CICU.</p> <p>An SOP is required for a corruption free environment, said Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU welcoming the action taken by CM Mann to set up an Anti-Corruption helpline number.</p> <p>He said such interventions are necessary to curtail corruption as there is maximum corruption in the departments in connection with the industries.</p> <p>Hence maintaining transparency and a non-corrupt environment and setting up of SOP is very crucial, he added.</p> <p>CICU has also requested the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to conduct a meeting with the industry to understand and reflect on the grass root realities of the industry sector in Punjab.</p> <p><em><strong>(KNN Bureau)</strong></em></p> 28701 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/harassed-by-govt-depts-cicu-urges-cm-mann-to-create-standard-operating-procedure 2022-03-24 09:38:58 knnindia.co.in
