ENA Sectors 2022-04-14 11:39:55 <p><strong>New Delhi, April 14 (KNN)</strong> The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Madras will help in providing indigenous support to meet the maintenance requirements of the Indian Air Force (IAF) weapon systems</p> <p>To make the partnership official a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between IAF and IIT, Madras on Wednesday at Air Force Station, Tughlakabad, Delhi .</p> <p>Through the pact several developmental projects will be covered with an objective to accelerate indigenous defence manufacturing under the vision of self-reliance.</p> <p>Air Commodore S Bahuja, Command Engineering Officer (Systems), Headquarters Maintenance Command, IAF and Professor H S N Murthy, Head of Department Aerospace Engineering IIT Madras signed the document.</p> <p>This partnership between IAF and IIT Madras aims to accelerate IAFs indigenisation efforts for achieving Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
