ENA State 2022-08-09 07:29:08 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Bengaluru, Aug 9 (KNN) </strong>A delegation led by Karnataka industries minister Murugesh Nirani is visiting Japan to woo high-profile foreign investors for the global investors meet (GIM) to be held in Bengaluru from November 2- 4.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">On Monday, Nirani and industries commissioner Gunjan Krishna met with the representatives of Toyota, Mercari, Suzuki Motor Corporation, and Jetro (Japanese External Trade Organisation) signifying the governments first stop being Japan.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3B9mZSj"><img alt="FOLLOW US on GOOGLE NEWS" src="https://knnindia.co.in//uploads/gallery/GoogleNews.jpg" style="border-style:solid; border-width:1px; height:95px; margin:1px; width:299px" /></a></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The roadshow saw minister Nirani having meetings with most of the companies showcasing Karnataka as an ideal investment destination for the manufacturing companies. During the course of his meetings, Nirani urged the Japanese manufacturing industries to come to Karnataka where the industries department has created a proposal for a separate Japanese township in Tumakuru.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"> Barring the Japanese township, major automobile companies like Toyota have already got a running plant and we have a land bank of 50,000 acres for industrial development, Nirani informed Suzuki Motor Corporation representatives including the general manager for India Automobile Kenji Saito.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The state government is expecting an investment of Rs 5 lakh crore in terms of MoUs at the event and hoping to generate employment opportunities for 5 lakh people through these investments.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As per reports, the Global investors meet is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the presence of various other state representatives and that global players in various sectors.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The state delegation is scheduled for another set of meetings on Tuesday with Hitachi, Fujitsu and NEC Corporation. <em><strong>(KNN Bureau)</strong></em></span></p> 30150 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/karnataka-govt-invites-japanese-companies-to-participate-in-global-investor-meet 2022-08-09 07:29:08 knnindia.co.in
