ENA State 2022-08-12 11:22:49 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Gangtok, Aug 12 (KNN)</strong> The Agriculture and horticulture department of Sikkim organised a conference on promotion of Agri-entrepreneurship at Manan Kendra in Gangtok on thursday.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Lok Nath Sharma, Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&amp;VS) was the chief guest of the event.</span></p> <p><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3B9mZSj"><img alt="FOLLOW US on GOOGLE NEWS" src="https://knnindia.co.in//uploads/gallery/GoogleNews.jpg" style="border-style:solid; border-width:1px; height:95px; margin:1px; width:299px" /></a></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Addressing the seminar, Sharma said that the state government is planning to bring out a policy for accommodating a certain percentage of organic food in the hotels of Sikkim.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The minister also informed that the department of AH&amp;VS will launch a mobile van service in all districts soon.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The seminar witnessed a presentation on various schemes of Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Spices Board, SIMFED, NABARD, and MSME by the senior officials of the respective departments.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking at the event,secretary AH&amp;VS P. Senthil Kumar advised undertaking entrepreneurship in livestock farming with a concept of paradigm shift from traditional practice to the commercialization of produce professionally. He also emphasized the importance of adopting entrepreneurship in potential areas.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The conference also saw the distribution of cheques under MMKANY. Sharma handed-over cheques to fourteen beneficiaries from Upper Burtuk constituency.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Rinzing C. Bhutia, Secretary of Agriculture, BB Subba, Secretary of Horticulture , Tenzing Kizom Bhutia Secretary of CMO , P.
