Demand for eco-friendly Ganesha idols have increased as they get immersed easily contributing towards environment protection. They said that since the last two years, the trend of installing eco-friendly idols of Ganesha in large quantities across the country is growing very fast. Earlier, large quantities of Ganesha idols made of plaster of paris, stone, marble and other items were imported from China due to cheap prices but now locally made eco-friendly idols are preferred. The Ganpati festival, which started from Wednesday will conclude on September 9 with the immersion of idols.
