Rajasthan emerges as solar hub of India with 10 GW capacity: IEEMA

ENA State 2022-12-22 11:04:59 Jaipur, Dec 22 (KNN) The state of Rajasthan has emerged as the countrys solar hub after developing 10 GW (Gigawatt) capacity solar power, said Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) president, Hamza Ariswala on Wednesday. As per reports, IEEMA has hosted an interactive session with senior officials of Rajasthans power sector along with a roadshow for the 15th edition of ELECRAMA. ELECRAMA is scheduled to be held on held on February 18-22 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The theme for the upcoming event is Re-imagine Energy For Sustainable Future. The event aims to showcase innovation and future technologies in many areas including storage, green hydrogen, fuel cells, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things (IOT), Rohit Pathak, said the IEEM president. ELECRAMA aims to secure business inquiries worth USD 6 billion from exhibitors and visitors from over 70 countries including pavilions form Canada, France, Germany, Romania, Taiwan and UK, its chairman, Jitendra Agarwal, said. For the industrys growth and success, certain areas present unlimited business opportunities in the future including start-ups and new business where massive capital investment are being made i.e. railways, metro, airport, defence, smart cities, buildings, and the EV ecosystem, small, medium and micro-business should be able to participate in the global supply chain as well, he said. In reply to a question related to solar equipments exports, the chairman said that India is not dependent on imports to meet the requirements in the solar and wind sectors.
