ENA State 2023-01-31 08:25:09 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Hyderabad, Jan 31 (KNN) </strong>The FMCG giant ITC Ltd. has set up an integrated food manufacturing and logistics facility at Toopran in the Medak district of Telangana.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Spread over nearly 59 acres of land, the food processing facility, with a built-up area of 6.5 lakh sq ft, entails an initial investment outlay of Rs 450 crore. The facility will be producing ITCs food brands, including Aashirvaad atta, Sunfeast biscuits, Bingo chips, and Yippee Noodles, among others, in phases.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3B9mZSj"><img alt="FOLLOW US on GOOGLE NEWS" src="https://knnindia.co.in//uploads/gallery/GoogleNews.jpg" style="border-style:solid; border-width:1px; height:95px; margin:1px; width:299px" /></a></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking after inaugurating ITCs state-of-the-art Integrated Food Manufacturing and Logistics Facility at Medak in the presence of ITC Ltd chairman and managing director Sanjiv Puri, the Minister said Telangana was readying 10,000 acres for special food processing zones, and that the State would extend all support and cooperation if ITC came forward to expand its presence here.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He promised the full cooperation of the state government in ensuring the revival of the paper factory and making it viable for ITC.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Speaking on the occasion, Puri said, ITC has been strengthening its footprint in Telangana across all three sectors of agriculture, manufacturing, and services, and the latest investment is poised to add value to the states manufacturing sector and support inclusive agri value chains. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Medak unit, which has been certified as a platinum-level green building by the Indian Green Building Council, will be powered by rooftop solar modules and also has a rainwater harvesting system to reduce dependence on groundwater.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"> Apart from ITC CMD Sanjiv Puri, Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and Principal Secretary (IT) Jayesh Ranjan were present. <em><strong>(KNN Bureau)</strong></em></span></p> 32126 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/state/itc-opens-up-food-manufacturing-logistics-unit-in-telangana 2023-01-31 08:25:09 knnindia.co.in
