ENA State 2023-02-24 17:18:51 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Mysuru, Feb 24 (KNN)</strong> The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad is organising a Gujarat Handicrafts Utsav at JSS Mysore Urban Haat from February 24 to March 5, 2023.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Handicraft Utsav is being organised under the Hastakala Setu Yojan in collaboration with Industrial Extension Cottage (Indext-C), Government of Gujarat and Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries. The exhibition will be inaugurated by K.M. Gayathri, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3B9mZSj"><img alt="FOLLOW US on GOOGLE NEWS" src="https://knnindia.co.in//uploads/gallery/GoogleNews.jpg" style="border-style:solid; border-width:1px; height:95px; margin:1px; width:299px" /></a></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As per reports, over 60 craftsmen from the state are participating in the Utsav to exhibit, demonstrate and trade rich customary art and craft like Patola weaving, Shawl weaving, Kutchi-Embroidery, Arjakh Block Print, Tie &amp; Dye (Bandhej), Zari-Zardosi work, Bead work, Wooden &amp; Metal art work, Jewellery &amp; accessories, Nail painting, Home decor &amp; furnishings, leather work etc. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Hastakala Setu Yojan, a unique initiative by the Gujarat government aimed at transforming rural entrepreneurship. Its primary objective is to create new entrepreneurs at each district; enhance potential of existing entrepreneurs; create additional jobs and livelihood options through new enterprises; conduct district-wise demand study (covering clusters) to enable in-depth study of demand and growth potential in the district with respect to existing and futuristic sectors.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Under this scheme, each district will have Gujarat Cottage Industries Development Centre (GCIDC) to fulfil various need-based support required for the project. The project commenced in 2020 and the second phase started from May 2021.
