ENA Sectors 2023-05-22 15:38:22 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, May 22 (KNN)</strong> Naini Aerospace Engineering Limited (NAeL) inks MoU with Garuda Aerospace (GA) for manufacturing drones for Indias farm sector.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Naini Aerospace engineering limited (NAeL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, would be manufacturing drones that would be able to carry the payload of around 25kg and the same can be used by the farming fraternity.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong><a href="https://bit.ly/3B9mZSj"><img alt="FOLLOW US on GOOGLE NEWS" src="https://knnindia.co.in//uploads/gallery/GoogleNews.jpg" style="border-style:solid; border-width:1px; height:95px; margin:1px; width:299px" /></a></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">As per reports, the Naini-based public sector unit will start manufacturing these heavy-duty drones by the end of next month.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">RR Thakur, NAeL CEO said, This unique initiative will not only help to boost the agriculture sector but also help to create and generate more employment, therefore increasing opportunities for rural employment.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He added that it is the first drone manufacturing facility in Northern India and that would have a significant impact on a number of sectors, including surveillance and security, agricultural mapping, and many others.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">This partnership will also strive to increase indigenisation of imported components required for manufacturing of drones. Most of the components amounting to around 75 per cent, are presently being imported from China and many western countries, Thakur said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Naini based NAeL started its production in July 2017.
