ENA MSME 2023-07-10 15:31:50 <p><strong>Noida, July 10 (KNN)</strong> The Uttar Pradesh government has instructed the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to discontinue the practice of allotting industrial plots through competitive bidding.</p> <p>Under the e-auction system, the highest bidder would win the plot, regardless of their background or experience. This led to concerns that large-scale businesses would be able to outbid smaller enterprises, making it difficult for the latter to expand.</p> <p>According to the officials, the government believes that the current system hampers the objective of providing plots easily for new ventures as reported by Hindustan Times (HT).</p> <p>The new system will be more transparent and equitable, as it will give all entrepreneurs a fair chance to secure a plot. Plots will be allocated based on a combination of factors, including the project's feasibility, the entrepreneur's experience, and the usefulness of the investment.</p> <p>This decision is a welcome relief for MSME entrepreneurs, who have long been calling for a more level playing field. It is a sign that the government is committed to supporting the growth of small businesses.</p> <p>The three development authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar will no longer allot industrial plots through e-auction.
