KOSME Launches Training Programs for Indian Employees of Korean SMEs

ENA MSME 2024-06-04 17:48:35 New Delhi, Jun 4 (KNN) The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), an offshoot of the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups, has launched a Competency Skills Training Program to enhance the skills of Indian employees working for Korean Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) based in India. The program aims to improve organisational and individual productivity by familiarising the employees with Korean work ethics, teaching them elementary Korean language skills, and updating their knowledge of office tools like MS Excel and PowerPoint. In its inaugural batch, the program trained 25 participants, including 19 Indian employees of Korean SMEs and 6 Korean language students from Indian universities. The training was conducted at KOSME's Global Business Center in DLF Cyber City, Gurugram, in collaboration with IBS Global Consulting. According to LEE Jae Kyeong, Director of KOSME's New Delhi office, the program was initiated to bridge the gap between Korean managers and Indian employees, enabling better understanding of Korean corporate culture and enhancing the employees' official work capabilities. The six-lecture program covered topics such as effective use of AI tools, work ethics, intermediate and advanced Excel skills, presentation skills, understanding Korean corporate culture, and elementary Korean language for business purposes. KOSME plans to conduct more such training programs in the future to strengthen the relationships between Korean companies and Indian talents, facilitating mutual growth and development.
