CODISSIA Partners With CII-TVS Mobility CoE to Support MSMEs

ENA MSME 2024-06-07 14:17:29 Coimbatore, Jun 7 (KNN) The CII-TVS Mobility Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood will collaborate with the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the mobility sector through skilling, training and other initiatives. This was announced by R. Dinesh, Executive Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions and Director at Ki Mobility Solutions, during the inauguration of the five-day international industrial fair Intec 2024 organised by CODISSIA on Thursday. Dinesh highlighted that the centre aims to create a common platform for knowledge sharing, training, funding, and reskilling by involving all stakeholders in the mobility space. Inputs from organisations like CODISSIA are crucial for the centre's success. Emphasizing the significance of MSMEs, Dinesh noted that they provide 11 crore jobs in India. Even a 1 per cent increase in micro enterprises, which constitute more than 98 per cent of MSMEs, can lead to tremendous economic growth and job creation. Currently, large companies are consolidating market share, making technology adoption imperative, and focusing on documenting sustainability initiatives challenges that can also present opportunities for MSMEs to provide cost-effective and efficient solutions. The event also witnessed participation from industry leaders like R. Nandhini, Chairperson of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Southern Region, who discussed CII's Mission 100 initiative to support 100 MSMEs in scaling up finance, technology, and other areas.
