ENA Sectors 2024-06-14 17:46:09 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Jun 14 (KNN)</strong> The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), a leading industry body, is set to release a comprehensive white paper outlining recommendations to tackle key policy and regulatory challenges facing the electric vehicle (EV), clean technology (cleantech), green hydrogen, and battery storage sectors in India.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The much-awaited white paper will be unveiled at the India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024, an international conference and expo scheduled to take place in New Delhi from July 1-5. The event is expected to draw over 200 global energy leaders from more than 50 countries.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Rahul Walawalkar, President of IESA and Customised Energy Solutions, India, stated, As India embarks on a clean energy journey with the Modi 3.0 government, our white paper aims to suggest the immediate steps required to achieve the green energy transition vision. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The white paper will be presented to at least seven Union ministries, underscoring the collaborative efforts needed to establish India as a global cleantech hub. Key ministries involved include New &amp; Renewable Energy, Heavy Industries, Mines, Power, MSME, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Science &amp; Technology, Commerce &amp; Industries, and NITI Aayog.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Senior officials from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Central Electricity Regulatory Authority (CERC), state nodal agencies, Association of Renewable Energy Agencies of States (AREAS), power distribution companies (discoms), and transport agencies are expected to participate in the event.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Stationary Storage Day at IESW 2024 will focus on energy storage requirements for modernizing the Indian electricity grid and addressing the country's ambitious renewable energy targets.
