The government has allocated a corpus of Rs 25 crore for this scheme, with a maximum reimbursement of Rs 50 lakh per beneficiary. Interested companies can apply for the reimbursement through an online process.

He also highlighted the critical importance of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape, noting that modern conflicts are increasingly fought in clouds.

In a related development, Scindia revealed that the DoT has established a project management unit to oversee the rollout of 4G services by BSNL. This unit includes representatives from BSNL, TCS, Tejas, and C-DoT.

The minister, along with Telecom Secretary Neeraj Mittal, is personally monitoring the progress on a daily basis. This initiative is expected to provide a significant boost to India's telecom ecosystem, particularly benefiting smaller players and innovative start-ups in the sector.
