ENA Economy 2024-07-23 12:07:04 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>New Delhi, Jul 23 (KNN)</strong> In her 2024 Union Budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled a comprehensive plan aimed at boosting the development of India's eastern region.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The initiative, named 'Poorvodaya', will focus on the all-round development of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The plan includes support for an industrial node at Gaya as part of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. This corridor is expected to catalyze industrial growth in the eastern region.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Sitharaman also announced infrastructure projects worth Rs 26,000 crore for road connectivity.
