ENA Sectors 2024-11-27 17:47:56 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Tamil Nadu, Nov 27 (KNN)</strong> Foxconn, Indias largest contract manufacturer, is set to embark on an ambitious project in Tamil Nadu, where it plans to establish the worlds second-largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The Tamil Nadu government has proposed to allocate 200 acres of land near Manalur in Tiruvallur district, about 50 kilometers north of Chennai, for the project. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">According to The Economic Times, discussions between Foxconn and the government are in the final stages, with an incentive package already offered to the company.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The move aligns with Foxconn's strategic shift towards diversifying its operations in India, particularly into energy-related sectors.
