ENA Sectors 2025-02-04 14:46:06 <p><span style="font-size:14px"><strong>Lucknow, Feb 4 (KNN)</strong> A high-level interactive session between government officials and industry leaders was organised under the aegis of Invest UP, in collaboration with the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The session, held in Lucknow, was part of the 'Understanding India Study Tour,' designed for officers undergoing the National Security and Strategic Course at the National Defence College, New Delhi. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive socio-political and economic perspective on India.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Chaired by Awanish Awasthi, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the session saw active participation from a 16-member delegation, including 10 officers from India's military and civil services, alongside six military officers from friendly nations such as Japan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Zambia, and Bangladesh.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Industry representatives from diverse sectors&mdash;including heavy industry, technology, education, manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, medical, retail, MSME, arbitration, agriculture, and chambers of commerce&mdash;engaged in discussions on investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Awasthi highlighted the states rapid strides in industrial development, particularly in the establishment of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">He underscored the progress of six key nodes in the corridor, with the Lucknow node advancing towards the establishment of a BrahMos missile unit.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Additionally, Kanpur, Jhansi, and Aligarh are progressing at an accelerated pace, reinforcing the state's position as a defence manufacturing hub.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">The session also explored the states focus on industrial expansion along expressways, creating strategic economic belts to attract investments and boost job creation.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">Participants lauded the governments proactive approach in fostering an investor-friendly environment, aligning with Indias vision of self-reliance in defence and manufacturing.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px">With such high-profile engagements, Uttar Pradesh continues to position itself as a prime destination for domestic and international investments, paving the way for sustainable economic growth and strategic partnerships.</span></p> <p><strong><em><span style="font-size:14px">(KNN Bureau)</span></em></strong></p> 40935 https://knnindia.co.in/news/newsdetails/sectors/lucknow-leading-implementation-6-node-defence-corridor-in-uttar-pradesh 2025-02-04 14:46:06 knnindia.co.in
